Inferno Morzine

Stayed in February it was basic we knew what we were getting but shocked at the volume of staff smoking “not cigarettes”...and language from music not what as expected. lots of people that were not part of staff walking around overnight not somewhere you would take kids. 9 year asked about drugs 😡I would think twice as a family. Beautiful location however......

Playing at to this lot. Nothing more upsetting than seeing something that could be really good that isn’t. The location of this place is incredible. Half way up a mountain on some of the best ski runs in The Alps. It’s basic and that is fine (you know what you pay for) but we felt like we were interrupting the staffs life and were an inconvenience to them. They treated the bunk house as if it was their home, there were people everywhere who were not staff... Not somewhere to relax... I am sure will be sold and turned into something really good at some point but unless you are a grungey laid back slightly unwashed youth I would think twice. By the way - my daughter had her shoes stolen in an area only accessible by staff so I would recommend you be careful with your belongings and we have since seen one of the staff wearing the shoes on Instagram. This place is alright because of the location but that is it’s only positive....

We keep coming back to this place year after year. Its just like visiting family. Hostels were never my thing as I am a bit fussy on cleanliness but this place although basic is very clean and comfortable. The staff are always the main attraction. Super friendly and always up for a good time. But Toby dog will always be my FAVE. Big shout out to Dan Lucy and Sophie for being amazing hosts this year especially Dan for sorting the hot tub for us and skiddooing us at midnight to the hotel when we arrived. My only small gripe was this year was the food. It wasn't as good as last time. I think we all miss the big pots of slow cooked stuff with salads and potatoes to choose from. I really struggled with getting enough vegetables this time. It think it's important to give us more nutrients for 6 days on the slopes. I think maybe ditch starters and just give us bigger mains with more side choice! We don't expect fancy food in a hostel. Just decent amounts of good balanced healthy grub. Probably see you all next year... Because there really isn't a better location than Inferno!
