Hotel Le Roc

The hotel is in the perfect location in the middle of Meribel - 2 mins hike with ski boots on to the slopes. The hotel is spartan, but clean, and the rooms are a great value - about 100€ per night for a double room. In the same building as the hotel are the bar La Taverne, and the separate restaurant, all with each a distinctly different ambiance, and all with great service and quality products at a great price. I’ve been here at least 4 times, and I’m always happy to come back.

Staying at La Taverne hotel was an absolute pleasure from start to finish (apart from the fact that I fell ill and was unable to ski). Fortunately the comfortable, accommodating and friendly Tav hotel was a great refuge for me with beautiful views out of my balcony window which made me feel like I was still part of it all. It is perfectly located for guests with ski access 50m from the front door and in the heart of beautiful bustling Meribel Centre with lots of shops bars and restaurants. I'm a frequent Meribel visitor and always enjoy a few drinks and some food in the lovely Tav Bar & Restaurant themselves (another recommendation for an exciting traditional Savoyarde meal would be La Fromagerie just a 5 min walk up the hill). I will definitely be back very soon!

Had a very good 5 night stay here in January 2017. Room right over the front porch so wasn't really disturbed by the music. Great views from the balcony down the main street and mountains. Nice touch with the ear plugs but didn't need them. Bar food was very good, restaurant food was very good. Room was basic, clean and warm, ideal for us as we don't spend a lot of time in the room.
