Residence Maeva Les Ecrins

A long way from luxury, but well located and economical. Great staff and great inside free parking. WiFi system is very out of date. Hotel needs a facelift and ski room is adequate, but dismal. Don't keep your ski boots there.

Ecrins is in a great location and is good value. Get what you pay for. What they don’t tell you is the night club below stays open til 5 am. Noise reverberates throughout. No sleep for a week. Staff were friendly and understanding and knew the problem. Clearly they’ve heard this over and over. Spacious basic apartment with magnificent view. Will not go back without the best ear defenders (and I like music)

Comfortable, warm, well equipped and effiiciently serviced. Easy access to the ski slope - about 200m away. Reasonably priced supermarket (Carrefour Montagne) and Au Pain d'Antan bakery nearby. The disco in the next building throbs away until 6am - you get used to it...
