Hotel Villa Bon Repos

I come to this hotel every year in March, to ski in Barèges/La Mongie and Cauterets, or even Hautacam or Gavarnie, and sometimes, in the summer, with my wife. I know other hotels in Argelès but this one has incomparable charm. By its location, first of all: far from the hotels for tourists/spa guests on the other side of the large central garden, but less than 500 meters from said garden, behind the casino-cinema. Do we want to go racing? Carrefour is two hundred meters away; need medication? A large pharmacy is just behind. And yet none of this is noticeable from the hotel: only the view of the Lavedan mountains, from the dining room or the room balconies, charms the visitor. And, behind, a pretty and vast garden with swimming pool… Maryse Domec’s welcome is perfect, combining discretion, efficiency and playfulness. The rooms are very comfortable and nicely decorated (especially the Italian-style bathrooms)...as for the breakfast, it is “worth a detour”. Excellent value for money, too. I'm going back next year!

We had a very good week. The room was spacious and very clean. We were very well received, and everything was made available to us for our 9 month old baby. We will come back !

The hotel is located a little ways outside of town but you can get to town by walking. There is plenty of parking and they have a pool. The room was fairly noisy particularly with the AC running. Breakfast was basic but good.
