Grand Hotel De La Grotte

Location is off the beaten track and in a quiet part of the town. Hotel is listed as five star but more like 3 star. Hotel was booked for spa as advertised on their website but they do not have a spa. The only pool is the indoor pool and the infinity pool . The plunge pool of which there is one was broken and no spa treatments.the bedroom has very strange bed stands and light shades which look like ikea. Dispite being given a room which faced the road a room which my sister did not request the room was change the next morning. The was two lollipops and two meringues things on a plate that was free but not covered and we had no idea how long it had sat like that and some haribos and a bag of crisp that needed to be paid for if you wish. Fridge had three cans of pop/soda which was also needed paying for.there was also logs in the room which seem to act as tables which really hurt when you caught your leg on them.

A great location and the staff were really helpful. Thank you for a wonderful experience staying in Lourdes.

My sister and I are returning from a magnificent trip to France (from September 3 to 17). Although we have been to Lourdes in the past, this was our very first stay at the Belfry & Spa. From the moment we crossed the threshold, we knew we had discovered a rare gem. This boutique hotel perfectly combines luxury, warmth, and intimacy, thus enhancing our entire experience. The magic happened as soon as we arrived on September 7. Our very first contact set the tone for the rest of the stay. We were welcomed by Lily, the first person we crossed paths with, who immediately made us feel welcome. At the front desk, we also had the pleasure of chatting with Gaëlle, whose warm and friendly personality is naturally radiant. This exceptional attention continued even late at night thanks to Camille, from the night team, who proved to be a precious help. Having forgotten to bring the right adapter, Camille saved the day by providing us with one from a basket of spare adapters. With another charming woman we briefly crossed paths with, these exceptional professionals embody the true meaning of hospitality. Their dedication goes well beyond simple customer service, without ever seeming forced or fake: everything is disarmingly authentic and fluid. This same kindness continued every morning in the breakfast room. Émilie, Céline, and Linda form a wonderful team. All three possess a sunny, friendly, and welcoming personality, transforming every start of the day into a special moment. Furthermore, the entire staff speaks impeccable English so that non-French-speaking guests feel perfectly at ease. For my part, as I love this magnificent language, I savored every opportunity to speak French throughout our stay! As a fashion stylist and designer, my professional life is dedicated to precision, textures, and aesthetic harmony — and let's just say I was deeply impressed! The meticulous attention to detail throughout this boutique hotel is simply remarkable. The considerable effort and vision of the management can be felt in every corner. Even the carefully selected objects and elements in our room were spectacular. We were totally blown away by such delicacy in the decor. The Belfry & Spa is not just a place to stay; it is a true lesson in elegance and hospitality. My sister and I recommend it with all our hearts, and we are already looking forward to returning.
