Hotel Paradis

I have stayed several times in 4-star hotels and I really did not expect to be so disappointed by this one. It is, moreover, the very first time that I am leaving a negative review regarding a hotel. I was at this establishment as part of a spiritual retreat and, unfortunately, this experience was very disappointing. I do not think I will return in the future. We notably had our large room on the ninth floor. Several participants were forced to walk up, because on that side of the building, only one elevator was functional. The very day after our arrival, this elevator broke down and, despite the six days spent on-site, it was never repaired. This situation was particularly difficult for people having difficulty using the stairs. Furthermore, the condition of the stairs is quite surprising for a 4-star hotel: their neat and pleasant appearance stops at the second floor. From the third floor up, one has more the impression of being in a poorly maintained building than in a hotel of this category. Regarding the dining, the breakfast as well as the meals did not meet my expectations for a 4-star hotel. Even some very simple items, like the bread, were not particularly good. As for the housekeeping, I also noticed that the carpet located under the bed was not properly vacuumed during the daily cleanings. I would, however, like to highlight the positive points: the reception staff was welcoming and professional, the daily housekeeping of the room was generally well done, and my room was spacious and air-conditioned. Finally, I also felt that the air circulation in the room was insufficient, with an unpleasant odor that persisted. In summary, despite a few positive points, my overall experience was very disappointing and does not, in my opinion, correspond to the level of service and comfort that one has the right to expect from a 4-star hotel.

Stayed here for 3 nights, hotel was in a good location not far from Grotto,Bus stop right outside to airport 3€ each way. Rooms had everything needed for a good nights rest, bath/shower, comfortable bed, clean towels,Room serviced daily. The restaurant served a very good continental breakfast hot and cold, Plenty on offer. The staff were all very pleasant nothing was a bother, special thanks to Valerie, would recommend this hotel and would return in the future.

Strengths Hotel located in front of the Gave River and 300 m from the Sanctuary. Common areas and lobby are very beautiful and well-kept, 4-star quality. Standard rooms are very low quality. Breakfast is not varied but good and simple. Staff is very kind and welcoming. Weaknesses We arrived earlier than the supposed check-in time and had a hard time getting a room. Unfortunately, there was no bidet, even though I chose the hotel because it had this amenity, and there were several problems with the bathroom drain, which were then resolved within a day after several reminders. They skipped cleaning for 2 days because they came once at 9 in the morning when we had to leave and once at 4 PM when we were resting after a day out; it would be better to specify cleaning times so we can organize ourselves. We asked if it was possible to have a lunchbox on the last day because we couldn't have breakfast before 7:30, and then we saw that at 6:30 the breakfast room was already open for a group; they managed to get us a bag at the last second with bread and two croissants without any wrapping and without a minimum of hygiene, although the night porter was kind enough to get us some water too. Unfortunately, it was a busy week for them because it coincided with numerous pilgrimages, but for the price paid, one expects to have a minimum of guaranteed service.
