Simple but welcoming family-run hotel. Our room was small and spartan, but clean and with a nice view of the river. The owners were very kind and helpful, giving us useful directions for visiting Mont-Saint-Michel. The location is very convenient: the abbey can be reached in about an hour on foot via the scenic bike path that runs along the river. The continental breakfast was abundant and well organized. We also appreciated the courtesy of the owners, who allowed us to leave the car in the hotel parking lot even after check-out time. A good base for visiting Mont-Saint-Michel, with a simple and family-friendly welcome.

Awesome place, Really relaxed and friendly staff with loads of useful info. Garden rooms are dotted around an old orchard. Basic but really fun and light. 2k walk along the river to the shuttle for Mont St Michel. Couple of nice casual restaurants with in a couple of minutes walk. Continental breakfast was great. Great value for money.

This hotel is in a great location on the Mont Saint-Michel Greenway. There is good private parking, even with car trailer, and there are lovely, park-like gardens. It was quiet at night. We experienced good communication with the owners when we were delayed and therefore only arrived after the 7pm check-in time. HOWEVER: Our Twin Room (Room 1) looked very dated and was extremely bare and basic. The owners may have aimed at a “retro” vibe but failed. We found it really only suitable for our one night stay and would not have liked to stay longer than that. The advertised river view was non-existent from this ground floor room. The window could not be tilted to leave air in at night. Neither the net curtain nor the drapery curtain covered the full width of the window and caused privacy issues due to the adjacent foot and cycle path. There was a long walk to Mont Saint-Michel shuttle bus and pedestrian bridge. Only one room key was provided; not ideal for two people. No tea / coffee maker in the room. One pillow per person won’t suit many guests. Crucially though, when I book a twin room, I want a meaningful distance between the two single beds, not for them to be pushed together to essentially form a double bed. The shower room was a weird mix of all styles and none, and was unhygienic with mouldy grout and dirty air vent. The WiFi signal was weak. We found the optional breakfast very expensive for the small portion we got (no cereals, no cheese, no cold meats, no yoghurt), and although service was very friendly it was also glacially slow. More breakfast staff is needed in high season.
