Hotel Maillot

This property is well situated for access to public transportation (the Metro stop Les Sablons is a 4-5 minutes walk away). It seems a bit "run down" in the public areas, but seems to have enjoyed a recent "face lift" in the two rooms I have stayed in. The single rooms are tiny but adequately appointed. The promised elevator (most needful when one is lodged on the fourth floor, as I was) was "out of order" for the entirety of my stay. The staff was cheerful and accommodating; e.g., they always came through when I asked for ice at the front desk (no ice machines available), and usually procured it from the restaurant next door (the highly recommended Coffee Parisien). On the whole, this is a utilitarian choice for the budget-minded tourist.

The room is really basic, the new part is clean. The staff is very helpful. In the rooms is very cold during the winter, and in the bathroom no heating at all. For one day sleep is ok. The breakfast is overpriced, small, but delicious.

Dirtiest room I’ve ever been / smallest shower/toilet cabin (1m x 1m) / tiny uncomfortable bed / dust, dirt and mold everywhere / loud fan running 24/7 / stains everywhere. This “hotel” should be your last option when visiting Paris. It could ruin your entire trip. It has absolutely no comfort and 2 Stars are just simply a joke! Worst “hotel” I’ve ever been, never ever again!
