Royal Emeraude - MGallery Collection

Very beautiful hotel from the outside located a few steps from the sea, restaurants, and the city center.   At the bar/breakfast room, also very pretty, English style and warm. Secure parking, €20/day, right in front of the hotel. The staff at the reception, at breakfast, housekeeping staff, etc., very obliging and very kind. A real pleasure.  The room was quiet, electric shutter, safe, slippers, bathrobes (really worn out), comfortable bedding but pillows too high, not flat or ergonomic enough, kettle, coffee machine, tea/herbal tea bags and Nespresso capsules, glass bottle of water daily, Clarins products, and patio furniture on the private terrace. The shower head gave off water droplets that were much too fine, very unpleasant, perhaps needs to be descaled, and the sink was placed in such a way that it was very difficult to look at oneself, up close, in the mirror. We could not get close to the mirror, same with the magnifying mirror. Lack of space, because it is small. No restaurant in the evening, but the breakfast was very good, except that the person who cooks the sausages either likes them almost burnt or does not watch them to cook them just right.  When leaving, we were asked, very kindly, without obligation, if we wanted to add a tip to the bill to be distributed among the staff. I was caught off guard and very surprised by this request, because it is the first time I have seen this practice in a hotel of a certain standing. Nevertheless, a very good place to stay and I will return, ready this time to answer the question of gratuity/service/monetary recognition for the staff, to be added to the stay bill, when checking out. Despite a few small things that were not right, I preferred to give 5* rather than 4* because my stay at the hotel was overall very good during the 4 nights, thanks in part to the staff, whom I thank. Smiling, human, attentive, communicative....

The beautiful place and the good staff. As a family, 2 rooms, with a terrace for us and on an upper floor for the children. Perfectly located, Christophe at the front desk is irreplaceable, the glass roof is superb. Would do it again. We loved it
