Hotel Ambassadeurs

We reserved a double room with sea-view. The room we received was on the 4th floor and just above was the rooftop bar. The room was very small - hardly space to open your bags, (Tokyo hotel rooms are bigger than this). No balcony. We noticed that there are balconies to the rooms until the 3rd floor. We arrived during the heatwave - there is no airconditioning in the rooms or elsewhere. We requested for a fan and the staff said there was only one fan in the whole hotel and it was being used by another guest! The stores to one of the windows did not work and needs replacing. Breakfast - below standard. Staff asked if we wanted sunny-side up eggs (no other choice) and crepes! the crepe was half-cooked and tasteless. Agoda says that the room has air-conditioning but this hotel does not have airconditioning. The hotel on the whole needs re-furbishing.

Ordered a room with oceanview, got a house on the other side of the road with a partial view only. Balcony was dirty, gravel and other bird poop there that was old. Paint inside the bedroom was falling apart, water had run from the windows and never got cleaned. Mold in the sealant on the windows. Hand soap never refilled, never even checked. blinds worked well but were heavily torn by the weather. Overall dirty standard. Breakfast was available, but 15Euro /pp and that small amount of food available i do recommend buy at nearby store instead. Overall saint-malo beautiful town to visit, highly recommend that

We had a very good stay at the hotel, everything was consistent with the site. The staff is very polite, smiling, and accommodating with a desire to satisfy. The rooftop is a very, very big plus.
