Hotel Gambetta

We stay in this hotel for one night to discover the region and we are very happy with the warm welcome from host. The room is small but very clean and well maintain. The host is very nice and friendly. It is located 500 meter from the beach and the promenade.

Booked at last minute due to Ferry cancellation. No expectations due to the very low price. Doesn't look great from outside but very clean rooms, lovely welcome from Owner and although none of our party speaks French and they do not speak much English we managed perfectly. Two of us went down to Bar and had a nice evening. Don't book if you are mobility impaired as quite steep stairs but all in all a good evening and a clean and comfortable night which for us was a big plus as we had an unexpected 8 hour Ferry trip the next day. Would visit again and thanks to the owner and of course the beautiful dog.

Hotel is located 5 min from the supermarket. No lift for heavy luggages. No space in the shower/ toilets/ water room. No hangers​ for towels or coats. The owners are nice and good at service. Probably a bit too expensive for the kind/ level of good in the city.
