Very well located, very friendly staff, good breakfast, but... the AC makes a muffled drill noise, even when turned off, every 10 minutes, very disturbing for sleeping. Do not take a room next to the staircase. In principle, it was supposed to be closed at 9:00 PM, but not at all; guests go up at any hour. It is very noisy and very unpleasant to be woken up at 12:30 AM...

Small hotel, very well located, and a very warm welcome. For the rest, it is absolutely not up to a 3-star standard: no elevator, lots of stairs, so not accessible for elderly people or those with reduced mobility. The room is cramped, poorly soundproofed (you can hear the conversation in the next room), the bathroom is tiny and outdated, the shower is very old, and the paint is peeling. No soap in any of the dispensers provided. For one night it might be okay, but no more.

This a weird review because I loved the staff and how the building is kept. Everything was perfectly clean. I take off a star only because of the building itself and how it is arranged. We were on floor 2 (in the US this would be 3rd floor) and there is no elevator. In the midst of an epic heat wave and an inadequate AC system in the common areas and lugging 2 suitcases up a circular staircase, this was not a treat. I realize the building was almost certainly built before anyone even conceived of elevators, but there are ways of retrofitting at least a dumbwaiter for luggage in such a space. Second the room was exceptionally small, even by European standards. The shower is like a tiny little closet, granted I am a big guy (6'7" and 310 lbs), but I barely squeezed into it.
