The Le Clos d'Amboise was such a treat for us as we splurged a little on this hotel. My wife really liked the room (#4 - a superior room w/ garden view) and the whole experience at the hotel so it was worth it for me. Great hotel, very comfortable, clean, good location, good breakfast and great capable staff. Hotel has elevator for all but a couple of rooms (request elevator access if needed when making reservation so the hotel can accommodate you) and pool, as well as, room air conditioning (but windows in our room opened which was nice). Very pleasant grounds to sit outside and relax in the evenings. Free parking at the hotel but reserve during booking. We would definitely stay here again.

Lovely hotel. With the most amazing staff. Restaurant was great. Breakfast lovely. Lovely cosy room and possibly the most comfortable bed I have slept in. Would stay again.

This is a lovely building, the day when we arrived and checkin, I asked reception for some help as there are some steps to the reception: I didn’t expect the young lady, carried our luggage by herself! I thought there would be a guy… so nice staff! Our room is spacious, a bit strange is in toilets there’s no basin, so need to go out and wash in bathroom. Others are fine, though it was indeed hot weather when we stayed there, and aircon was not super strong, but still fine. We didn’t eat in hotel restaurant for dinner, or rather, we failed to get a tablet but it smelled so good! Breakfast was fresh and delicious, good choices for me. Amboise is a lovely town, hotel is close to all spots you need to visit, and nice restaurants around.
