Best Western L'Artist Hotel

A very good night in this pleasant hotel located right in the center of Tours and easy to access by car (be sure to program the exact address of the hotel into the GPS). Charming hotel (especially if you are a movie buff!) with a comfortable, well-equipped room and impeccable cleanliness. Friendly and attentive welcome. A very good breakfast buffet, varied, hearty, and with good products. Possibility of a covered parking space at the establishment, but no advance reservation possible. No restaurant in the hotel. A good place to stay in Tours!

Lovely stay here. Clean, comfortable. Helpful staff. Filtered water in the lobby a nice extra, especially in the hot weather. Breakfast lady could probably do with an assistant at busy times. ( They ran out of De Caffinated coffee) Would stay here again.

Positive points: - close to the train station and the tram leading to the main points of interest. - friendly staff - spacious and very clean room; bathroom newly renovated - excellent breakfast, hearty and varied Negative points: - the air conditioning: just a breeze of air on the first day, barely cooled. As a result: given the heatwave, had to leave a window open, leading to an early wake-up due to noise. 2nd day: better functioning but stopped during the night, resulting in a temperature that was quite difficult to bear. - poor interior soundproofing: room doors that slam and it is not the fault of the guests nor probably the owners. For pity's sake, gentlemen manufacturers, could you not design doors with less resistant hinges that do not require one to use their rear to keep them open when taking out their suitcase, and that allow the door to close without slamming - knowing that this type of door equips many hotels? Being woken up at 5 a.m. by a slamming door and a suitcase being dragged down the hallway is quite unpleasant. - no amenities in the room (lotions, small bar of soap, shower cap…). Moreover, no bottle of water, except at the dispenser at the reception, or sparkling water in the fridge, at a cost. Regrettable during a heatwave - For a 4-star hotel and a rate of €200 per night (including breakfast), the value is not satisfactory.
