CHATEAU DE BEAULIEU

The Château de Beaulieu is a lovely place; we had a very pleasant stay. The breakfast is plentiful, fresh, and excellent. The room and bedding were perfect, and we appreciated the tranquility of the location. We dined perfectly; the wines and dishes were delicious. We will return with great pleasure. The park is very beautiful and well-maintained, the parking is spacious, and to top it off, the place is dog-friendly. Thank you to all the staff who were charming and attentive.

Second stay here in stage and same delight. Bedroom 5 is certainly tarabiscote but cozy and the bedding perfect. Dinner is definitely good. St James with white butter cooked properly and veal on its tasty juice. A little less satisfied by the chocolate dessert a little bland but we ate well. The portions are small so we go to bed reputed but not heavy. Maybe wines by the glass are a little expensive. The spa is nice. Very hot. Maybe the pool is a little bit chlorinated. This second stay is not the last!

We greatly appreciated the welcome and kindness of the staff, always ready to help with luggage or any other reason. This is the highlight of our short stay. The room was ok: nothing to say. On the other hand, the "Gourmet Restaurant" is one of the restaurants that we will never return to, and we are more than surprised at the praise that can be read in the reviews! either we have come to a period (November) not very incentive and motivating for the chef, or they are notices of convenience! The starter left no trace in our memory; the main course was generous in meat, but with 1/4 of a small whole carrot, a potato "shot" and a half cut (or 3 halves...) and a small head of broccoli, with a tablespoon of a sauce that promised much on the menu, but which had only the color (very brown) and no possibility to determine its components! The dessert very disappointing because seemed to come out of a freezer. When breakfast was the worst! we only eat salty: two hard-boiled (organic) eggs frozen in a shell; two thin slices of ham and four slices of cheese (any) for two. Coffee is brought in a warm ceramic cup that has arrived on the table, instead of a pot to serve as we please and, for me, who had asked for vegetable milk, a pack of hazelnut milk (organic) just as iced: As for the buckwheat bread, barely toasted and completely stale in the mouth! what a disappointment! and this for 14 euros!!! I think it's making fun of the world! Finally, the spa was more like a pool and wasn't hot enough to really relax. We had come to spend a little time relaxing and fun, and came home depressed.
