Mercure Tours Sud Hotel

First room, barely inside we had to go back out because it smelled so much like (s...t), back to the front desk, they offered us a second room which we took because we had already paid for the room plus a 100 euro deposit even though there is no room inventory, a slat detached from the wall photographed to show it to the reception, a wobbly bed, a bathroom far from clean, in particular the shower and toilet, no body hygiene products, hand soap to take a shower, a trickle of water to wash with, air conditioning nonexistent but noisy, a lot of dust on the furniture and the TV, stools used as nightstands. I rarely stay in 4-star hotels, but this one only deserved 2 stars and even that is way too much. It is shameful and I do not understand why health inspectors do not check this type of establishment. Same thing for breakfast, low-end products, no yogurt, products left out in the open, like the vulgar fruit salad, the very runny yogurt, the chicken feathers on the eggs, etc... The list is too long. A piece of advice, never set foot in this type of establishment. It is purely and simply theft.

DO NOT STAY HERE IN SUMMER! It’s currently 2am and I have yet to fall asleep as our bedroom is currently sat at 30 degrees. It is so hot in here that I am concerned for my 4 month old baby and 3 year old child. We cannot open the window as we are on the highest floor and the window opens the whole way so would be incredibly dangerous if we were to fall asleep and my daughter decided to look out of the window for instance (her bed is right under it). Picture attached. Even opening the window would not cool this room down anyway as it is very hot outside. We knew today was forecast to be very hot so we changed hotels to this one as they advertised air con! At least the other hotel were honest. The air con here does not wok, even the reception, restaurant and hallways are warm but the rooms are uninhabitable. As soon as we checked in and were greeted with a fan in the bedroom I knew there would be trouble, and the air con was apparently already up full and we were sweating, we asked to changed rooms but the hotel was apparently full but were given a second fan so we were stuck with no option. Please take my advice and stay elsewhere when it is warm, you won’t get any sleep here.

The hotel is very well located and easy to access. The staff is welcoming and attentive to the customers. The large free parking lot is appreciated. Our room was spacious, well-equipped, and comfortable. The breakfast buffet is truly of an excellent standard. I recommend it because the value for money is excellent.
