Hotel Le Parc Hotel

A magnificent discovery this restaurant in the park We have dinner as a couple in the evening (my wife's birthday) with the formula at 75 euros full menu glass of champagne accompanied by 2 glasses of wine 🍷 Welcoming was warm and kind 2 choices each time ..we tried both choices with my wife ..we feasted each time .. The kitchen had nice flavors the dishes well presented with many flavors. The manager offered us an excellent Pic Saint Loup to accompany the meal. Really the Price quality ratio was well there. We will gladly return

Stopped over one night on the way to Spain - 2 double rooms and meal. Selected because it was in the Logis guide, and near the motorway. One room looked to the front, unusual shape. Proper French windows were nice. Ensuites basic, but met the need. Rooms fine - again basic. Seemed to be aiming at the short stay market. Parking in lane next to hotel. Wonderful dog walking straight from the hotel along the river through college grounds and allotments. Delightful medieval town a minute of so from the front. Great start to the holiday. Food was home cooked and OK - perfectly acceptable. I'd go again - if for nothing else, then just for the location. Dog made to feel welcome. Area felt very safe - even when I had to walk down to the riverside at 4am in my nightie and coat because the dog had drunk to much water while playing in the river before bed!

Arrived in Issoire without a place to stay. Main criteria was for secure parking and wi fi access. After one 'tout complet' we waited in hopeful anticipation for Le Parc to open at 5pm. Room was only available if we agreed to eat in their restaurant. Tired - we agreed. Our stay has provided us with funny snippets on how the place was run - perfectly clean etc, just character observations. Food was good but more than we would've wanted to spend - I think the cheapest menu was 23€ or 25€ each and bottles of wine started at 9€. Had 11€ bottle the 2nd night and wished we'd stuck with the 9€ Timings for breakfast/dinner were not from 7:30am/pm but at those times. From Issoire we did a day trip to Le Puy en Velay and of course had to eat in again on our return but were quite happy after our full day not to have to find somewhere to eat out.
