Residence La Cime de Lans

Unfortunately cheap accomodation attracts cheap people. Lot of youngsters getting drunk, stoned and partying all night in the building. Accomodation would be acceptable if staff would address this, but unfortunately they let it go. For that reason not suitable for families with children. Bring your earplugs. Apparently the accomodation has a lot of issues as deposit is €300. Our front door was broken and poorly fixed with some extra screws. Window frame broken and door didn't close properly any more. Ski in ski out is great: stepping from the building directly on the slopes. Free parking under the building in the garage. Heating is insufficient and there is a draft from the window. Cleaning is below standard, although a €30 cleaning fee is obligated. Some pizza places in this part of Deux Alpes but the area is run down and lot of commerces are empty. Small supermarket is nearby. Road to building wasn't cleared. Next time I'd prefer the lower part of Deux Alpes (1650) instead which is more up to standard. This accomodation needs severe maintenance.

Booked with Sunweb 3 days before arrival for a last minute ski trip with my two daughters. Check in was really slow, but I guess this is what happens on busy change over days. Could do with being a bit more streamlined. Not expecting much for the price paid and being in Les 2 Alpes. It was basic, enough utensils to get by, however two bigger saucepans instead of just one would be useful. Even in spring it was just about possible to ski in ski out. Locker room is adequate but a bit cramped at busy times. Not a deal breaker! Apartment was small and basic, but for one adult and 2 kids (12 & 10) it was just about big enough. Needs a bit more storage as skiing means a fair amount of gear and bulky clothes. We got by.... The accomodation is out of the town and in a quiet area. Suited us just fine as not looking to go out too much. For a last minute deal, at a small molar price, I would go again.

When you expect absolutely nothing, you will be surprised. The neighbourhood is fantastic (next to the piste) but the hotel itself is very Spartan. For example: There is no elevator; when you come (arrivalday) or have to leave your room (departureday) you can’t use a toilet. In your room: furniture was very modern (in the eighties). It should be very clean because everybody have to pay 30€ for the endcleaning (but….). Take your own toiletpaper, they don’t have it for you!
