Very nice hotel restaurant. Catering: super good , refined, good advice for food / wine pairings. Welcome: at the top Room: good ....just 2/3 reviews: What is the point of putting 4 drinks in the room when there is no fridge ... 30° in the room ... drinks at 30°? Avoid putting drinks if you can't drink them... No air conditioning .... pity. Tv out of order.....not great. Forgotten to put soaps in the sdb .... Not cool for a nice establishment of this quality ... That on the other hand, it won't stop us from coming back because the meals and the setting are beautiful

Hello My wife and I spent an exceptional afternoon, evening, night, and early morning! The setting of the residence is magnificent, calm, and green. In this heat, the pool did us a world of good. We succumbed to the flavors of the 3-course meal on the terrace: from the amuse-bouche to the dessert, everything was perfect, worthy of a 4* gourmet restaurant. After a very peaceful and comfortable night (see room views) and an excellent breakfast buffet, it was time to leave this superb place. We will return with pleasure. A big thank you to the entire Castel Damandre team. Annie and Franck from Annecy

So disappointing. Rooms in the ‘tower’ are no more than a two bit hostel room, the only saving grace being the view. Bed linen is grey rather than white. Towels are rough. Two sets of towels for three people. No tea/coffee/water in the room. Decor generally tired and worn. No door in shower room which has a timer light so can’t be turned off-if one person gets up in the night, the whole room is awake. Hoped to dine at the restaurant but hasn’t appreciated the cost or lack of variety-veal and caviar the only options. Drove into town instead and ate at a lovely brasserie. Hoped for so much more given the info on the website.
