Les Hameaux de Montreal

We stayed at the apartment as a group of 6 family members. We stayed for 4 days in total. The apartment with its balcony really suited our requirements. The apartments are simple and workable. The communal pool/spa/sauna/ bbq/ meeting area is neat and clean and suits all age groups. The paid laundry facility was fantastic. Make sure you pay the additional charge for linen and towels to avoid carrying your own. Fully equipped kitchen with full size fridge and freezer and dishwasher. Free onsite parking. No air conditioning or lift but great cross flow breezes with the windows open in the evening.

Great for a family for a couple of nights stay. Very rural area only a small town (Montreal) near by and the town of Condom about 20 minutes away. Nice as a stop over to a large town if driving. Chalets very good but basis no air con and everything you may need will cost you, linen, cleaning if you don’t have them yourself.

This is a quiet place in Montreal, Gers, which could be really nice but is just OK. Very good price for the beginning of high season (~ USD 50/night) Reception is open limited hours, but they can give you a code to open the gate and leave your towels and keys out for you if arriving late. The people at reception were unfailingly helpful and (almost alarmingly !) positive. There is a parking area which I think will not be quite enough if the place is full. Hameaux is made up of small apartments, in small wooden buildings 2 or 3 stories high. Mine was a small (1 BR) apartment on the ground floor, The place was basically clean, but the walls could do with some painting. The apartment was fairly spacious, and (like all rooms here) had a porch with a table and chairs. Living room was spacious (wooden dining table and chairs, sofa, coffee table) but poorly lit. The kitchenette was well equipped (hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffeemaker, fair amount of cutlery and crockery and pots and pans). Bathroom was OK too, plentiful hot water (and a heated towel rack). Bedroom was smallish. Bed was wedged between two closets, with hanging room only (one small shelf). Really need a chest of drawers, and proper reading lights. There was also cleaning stuff in a closer, plus a rack for drying clothes. There are grassy areas outside, and a nice pool (no shade, though), a sauna and a jacuzzi. Too many things I felt were missing – you need to arrive with (or buy) your own. No dishcloth, sponge or washing up liquid. There’s a dishwasher but no tablets. Only one bin bag, Small LCD screen in the living room – but you need to pay (a lot) for TV. One bath towel and one hand towel only – need to pay extra for more. The flat was well equipped with heating, but nothing for cooling, not even a fan. I was there during a heatwave and it was very uncomfortable inside – I am not sure how pleasant the place will be during the summer heat... Finally, and most annoyingly, there is wifi only near reception (reasonably fast), not in the rooms. This is maddening – a small upgrade to the connection and some wifi repeaters could quickly and cheaply provide wifi all over.
