Certainly one of my worst experiences in a hotel in France...
I know that the hotel chain “Campanile” is rather old and losing speed, but here... this is the pompom!!
Beyond being out of age and rotten everywhere this hotel is being renovated! At the stage where apparently only a dozen rooms are available for rent, all the others are being redone! So you have trucks and workers in the parking lot from 7 a.m., and the noise that goes with it!
I felt like I was staying on a construction site!!!
It would therefore seem that the 4 clients who are fighting in a duel actively participate in the financing of the works...
We then made the mistake of wanting to dine at the hotel restaurant!! Who has only the name restaurant left!!! We met with 8 people to dine in this restaurant room where tables share the space with furniture and kitchen equipment laid here and there loose everywhere...
The buffet that made the reputation of the brand no longer exists, replaced by a minimalist map to download to your phone...
Tasteless dishes without flavor warmed in the microwave by the waitress herself since there was obviously no cook that evening!!
A young waitress apparently not of the trade at all, but kind and courageous, and constantly disturbed by the one who seems to be the new boss, installed like a pasha in the middle of the restaurant room and monopolizes 4 seats alone, but who does absolutely nothing except disturb the young waitress already overwhelmed every 2 minutes!!!
We lived a lunar evening watching them do!!! The end of the end with a customer who could never open his room with the magnetic card, and who after several attempts also by the “boss” the customer preferred to go elsewhere find another hotel!!! A bad dinner show actually!!
The breakfast the next day was a little better, this time with a cook present, a decent breakfast buffet, but always the “new boss” laid like a pâté in the middle as the day before, 4 chairs to himself, and busy playing the business manager to be smart by winding the straps of the 2 poor employees in front of the rare customers we were whose pitiful spectacle does not concern us! We didn’t have to go through his ridiculous theater scene of the guy who obviously doesn’t know how to do anything but wants to explain how to do things!!!
I am not ready to return to this place, and I advise against going to anyone who wishes to spend an evening and a relaxed night!!!
