Hotel very well located. Reception staff super friendly .... BUT .....No air conditioning, this is not acceptable. Suffocating heat with a mini fan that was just circulating hot air. Awful night.

Nice exterior, the hotel is really cool inside and offers a quality that is not what you would expect from a ***: carpet stained from place to place, blocked sink (no drain), for a tiny room with an even smaller shower/WC. It is impossible to sit on the toilet while closing the door: the knees protrude (yet I am small). Breakfast is decent (pastries/ham, cheese/fruit) without being exceptional, so to speak. In short, acceptable for one night, but no more.

I like this hotel. I stayed here before and I was happy to come back. However. This is the first time I've stayed here in summer. It was 39° C outside and hotter than that in my room. I was absolutely smashed by the heat. For those of you who don't do C, that's 100 degrees Fahrenheit. It was hotter in my room than outside and it was hotter in the hallway than in my room. These people have got to figure something out. 3 stars? This is barely a two-star hotel if the client has to put up with those temperatures. I would stay here again, but not in summer. Welcome to 2025, Grand Hotel de la Gare.
