Best Western Crystal

A really nicely renovated Best Western - centrally located. Lidl parking garage down the street (offers a 10% discount for hotel guests - have your parking ticket validated at the reception). Nice rooftop bar with a view over the city. The pool is also nice. Check in at the reception for your 50-minute slot to swim. The pool is pleasantly heated, and strong underwater jets provide your massage. Unfortunately, the rooms are quite small, and the bathroom is tiny.

Second stay at the Crystal and an exciting experience just like last time. Fantastic location, just steps from the station and a 10-minute pleasant walk from Place Stanislas. Convenient garage nearby, but for the second time we found parking in the paid spaces in front of the hotel (on weekends they are free). Beautiful furnishings, the common areas - including a small but cozy roof garden - are ideal for having a drink or reading a book. If you want a room that is too small (the building is historic and the spaces are what they are), opt for a superior one. The highlight is the breakfast! You will find typical cheeses, artisanal jams, breads, and pastries of all kinds. And everything is labeled with the producer, mostly small local businesses. Delicious, among the best we have ever tried in our numerous European trips. The only thing I do not understand is the request for a pre-authorization of 100 Euros at check-in for a room that has already been prepaid as a deposit, but there were no issues with the automatic cancellation. Unfortunately, I could not try the SPA but... we will return! P.S. I see that in some reviews the customer complained about the entrance with steps: there are two entrances, one next to the other, and the other has a ramp.

Well-located and comfortable hotel. Good breakfast and pleasant pool.
