Chateau De Bordeneo

Located in the beautiful countryside of Belle-Ile-en-mer, the chateau is simply perfect and marvellous. Francoise and Jean-Luc, the owners, will welcome you as real (and precious) friends. The five rooms are astonishing furnished and decorated (the bathroom seem a living room...), breakfast is a five-stars one, the atmosphere is simply magic...and cats and dogs can stay in the beautiful garden all around together with the ones F. & J-L have. You will miss the Chateau when you leave (we did...).

I agree with the other reviews that Château Bordeneo is cute and charming, and that it is more like a country home than a hotel. But I had to notch off a point because my husband and mother-in-law were not happy with the reception and the lack of hospitality. We brought her dog, Enzo, with us to Belle Ile. Before I booked with Bordeneo, I called and asked if they accepted dogs. She said, "Yes." But when we got there, she said she didn't accept dogs. So beware, if you are travelling with your dog. Otherwise, I found the room to be beautifully decorated. The breakfast was really good. We stayed one night. I would go back. But my hubby and mother-in-law wouldn't recommend it.

Chateau Bordeneo was more like someone's lovely country home than a hotel. Located just outside of Le Palais (about 1 kilometer from the port), the setting is very peaceful. Owners were warm and welcoming. Rooms are large and beautifully decorated but comfortable. Breakfast is served in a lovely sun room and was wonderful (fresh fruit, yogurt, several types of bread/pastry, excellent coffee). Looking forward to returning sometime!
