Hotel inn Design Resto Novo Vannes

A great hotel where you can interact with your neighbors upstairs and from all the hallway! What about the atmosphere of the bar where we offer you only strong beer because there is no more pressure and the other bottle beers are hot... a happiness that I will certainly not reproduce...

We want to share our unfortunate experience at HOTEL INN DESIGN RESTO NOVO DE THEIX (near Vannes). We had booked a room for one night mid August (from 15 to 16 August 2024). We had bites ( 5 in total), which led us to look for the cause, quickly found on our duvet: a bed bug! As no one was at the reception after 9pm, we had to wait until the next day to complain to the manager. At Check-out, we refused to pay for such a room that the manager charged us without any excuse...; we had offered to pay only for breakfast. The tone rose, with the manager questioning the source of the bug (which we had shown him) and saying that no one before us had complained about the room. In the end, he threw us “well, then you don’t pay anything!”, which we thought was normal. We were surprised when we returned from our holiday to note the debit of the room (87 euros from 16/08, i.e. from our Check-out, using against our consent the bank fingerprint given during the Reservation Phone Call (for which we had no written confirmation). We called to complain about this dishonesty (debiting a card without the customer’s code, without his consent, after telling him that nothing would be charged!) and were mistreated by this manager who even told us that he “saw customers passing!” We advised him to change jobs if he couldn't stand the customers. Of course, no one knows where this bug came from. We simply know that we were bitten and found the insect on our duvet. The Director who lacks any commercial sense could at least have been attentive. He was obnoxious. Besides, this room was disastrous. Supposed to be a room with reduced mobility, it does not allow any wheelchair to pass between the bed and the wall due to lack of space; we had noted this (“yes but the bathroom is large” said the manager....); moreover, when we arrived, to our surprise, the manager, at the reception, had told us that the water of the shower “flowed slowly but that since we had several towels, we could use one to make a water retention”... In fact, we had two bath sheets and two towels, which is the norm for any Pension worthy of the name. In fact of slowness, as soon as the shower was used at intermittent speed (we are disciplined customers!), the water actually flowed only at very low speed... immediately bringing a flood to the threshold of the room! This situation, bug bite and disastrous state of the room, leads us to post this comment so that future guests do not experience the same misadventure at this property.

The hotel is a 10-minute drive from Vannes, in a quiet area, built in American Motel style, private indoor parking, poor wifi and reception that closes at 21. room and bathroom not spotless and small, average price
