Hotel Foch

Well-located hotel for visiting Metz. Classic quality accommodation, a bit dated however.

We stayed at this hotel for the night of June 27 to 28, 2026, and we were very disappointed. How can a 3-star establishment offer such conditions? Upon our arrival, the rooms were stifling (nearly 40 °C): - No preparation despite our reservation a month in advance and a heatwave weekend announced. - Broken roller shutters, fans turned off, only the curtains were drawn. - Mobile air conditioning not installed in one room, missing drainage hose in another, and nothing at all in the third. - We had to set everything up ourselves (hose, drainage) to make 2 rooms barely usable. We could not use the third one; after complaining the next day, it was refunded to us. Condition of the rooms: Dirty carpet, neglected decor, outdated bathroom (shower curtain, I hadn't seen one in a hotel for over 10 years!). The reception offered no solution. The icing on the cake: no response to our complaint email sent to management. In short, neither the reception, nor the comfort, nor the service corresponds to a 3-star.

Hotel well located to walk or eat in town close to the train station and parking Republic 6min walk. Poorly soundproofed tv all night from a neighboring room. Cleaning really leaves something to be desired. Hotel type 2 stars and again but not a 3 given the dilapidated place. Misleading photos of the site. Breakfast from 8am-11am and at 8.30am more rolls, jams, orange juice no reassortment.
