Mercure Lille Centre Opera

Beautiful hotel very grand inside and out and a perfect location ,within walking distance to both train stations and just off grande place with lots of bars restaurants. The staff were amazing and so helpful they couldn't do enough for us but the room was very disappointing, it had a Juliette balcony with a lovely view but was very small and tired ,felt quite uncomfortable to be in so luckily a beautiful city to wander and sit outside. I would definitely return to the hotel as perfect location but would pay more to get a higher spec/ larger room .

First time staying here, been to Lille numerous times before and thought I’d try somewhere different: location is ideal, about 5 minutes from the Grand Place and walkable from the Eurostar station. I stayed in a Prestige room and while it wasn’t massive, I have no complaints about its cleanliness, facilities or noise from other rooms (there was a little bit of noise outside on the first night but France had qualified for the World Cup semifinals so a bit of noise would be expected wherever I stayed in France) Overall I thought it was a good alternative to the other hotels I’ve stayed in in Lille.

Hotel that does not deserve 4 stars Aging rooms that require a complete renovation No one at the front desk when we arrived (at dinner), the TV didn't work, neither did the phone, the air conditioning control box was hanging by a thread.... Rooms much too expensive considering the service and not up to Accor standards.
