Nord Hotel Lille

Upon entering the hotel we were greeted by Frederica, the most welcoming lovely lady!! Immediately we felt at home. Frederica was so eager to help us with the room type we requested and offer advice on best places. the Hotel had charm and Character and was very clean. We were delighted that the hotel was right on edge of old town, everything was very very close by.

Never have I ever felt the need to leave a place I've paid good money for in less than 30 mins. If I could leave 0 stars I would. Rooms old and in need of major upgrade, area is awful and dare I say unsafe, lift shabby, stuff hanging out of the ceiling in the corridor. The rooms hot and stuffy with zero amenities and shutters covering the window which was good as it blocked the god awful view of the third world outside. I wouldn't stay there for free.

My husband and I were booked in for 2 nights on 28/29 July. The area is horrific and down trodden with group's of loud and intimidating men, the hotel is in severe disrepair and smelt damp and musty. No aircon and the windows have metal shutters on even though we were on the second floor. We booked in and within half an hour left and booked elsewhere losing our money as we couldn't stay there.
