Auberge Du Jeu De Paume

Oh my what a nice hotel! Mon Dieu! Service from the moment we stepped thru the door was perfect. The room was gorgeous, the drinks and food were great, the spa/pool was very nice and the location in town was perfect. Don't stay anywhere else in Chantilly if you want a stress free experience. Loved it.

As loyal customers of the Relais & Châteaux group, we discovered the Auberge du Jeu de Paume. What a surprise to discover this building after a bit of a drive on a cobblestone road where historical horses and carriages must have passed to get to the Château de Chantilly, a 5-minute walk away. Very smiling and efficient welcome by the valet, a few formalities at the reception, and we have lunch before taking our room. First superb surprise: an upgrade to the Diane suite with its magnificent terrace overlooking the castle park, plus a thoughtful touch, a fragrance diffuser with the house scent, then a few minutes later, sweets and a bottle of wine are brought to us by the restaurant. The journey to the land of dukes and princesses is off to a good start. Once the wonder has passed, a few small details could be improved to bring this suite up to the level of its value: no shower cap on the first day, hand shower missing in one of the two toilets. Otherwise, extraordinary bedding, and we did not find how to turn off the air conditioning. The concierge and his team guide you in getting your tickets for the castle tour and take care of printing them for you. The pool is superb. Very rare these days, but the spa and steam room are separate. A small downside: the showers were not very hot. The spa treatments are fantastic; there, too, a small issue with the shower temperature. That spoils the pleasure of the treatment a little. After an excellent night, breakfast in the dining room; there is a large selection and the staff is very attentive. You can have any type of eggs. The small detail that lowers the excellent impression: an order of two fried eggs that arrives with one of the yolks broken, so overcooked... or soft-boiled eggs served without a spoon. Despite the small "imperfections," this establishment is worth a stop, especially since the general manager is very attentive to customer feedback.

This is a perfect location. You walk out the door and you are on the grounds of the chateau. My room was huge and had a beautiful. The food is really good. My dinner was delicious. Breakfast is really special. The service was amazing. I would stay here again.
