Alba Opera Hotel

Location is great, you can walk to a lot of interesting areas and you have a few metro stations near, you can also walk from Gare du Nord. The hotel has character, with cool decor and the staff was nice. The decor in our room was quirky and we liked it, it was also quite a decent size. As an old building, noise insulation wasn't the best, so if you're neighbours arrive late you may hear them, but not much the hotel can do here. The lift is tiny, as mentioned, if you have a big suitcase it may be an issue. We liked the area a lot, with a good bistro and boulangerie in the same street. Two easy suggestions for improvement: a shower basket/soap holder and an extra pair of pillows, I think those are easy to offer and would improve comfort. I would visit again.

Hotel very disappointing. Following a prompt cancellation request, no commercial action was proposed, which is already regrettable. But beyond that, the staff were unpleasant in the exchanges, unskilled in handling the situation and especially very unresponsive. The lack of consideration for the client is obvious, and the management of the problem really leaves something to be desired. A frustrating experience from start to finish. I would not recommend this property.

We had booked our room 54 for several days as a family. We felt very comfortable, especially the location of the hotel was very good for our activities. We also appreciated the special charm of the whole house.
