Campanile Paris Ouest - Boulogne

It has no air conditioning (and in July you suffer) and it lacks a fridge. The proximity to the subway is good

Hotel very well located in Boulogne, on a very quiet little street. The superior rooms are equipped with a kettle and coffee machine. Bathrooms with bathtubs, but no way to hang the shower. Very comfortable bedding. Neutral, practical decor. No minibar, no air conditioning. But there are good fans. Useful if the window is closed. Which was not the case. The heat came in all day long. When I realized, the window handle was hot. Tonight it is cooler in the hallway than in the room. It was 40 degrees today. Outside of the heatwave, the hotel is good. During the heatwave, if the staff is not attentive, it is not pleasant.

I'm going up to my room at 9:30. I immediately go down to report that the radiator makes a hell of a noise. I'm told there's nothing we can do, but I can talk to the LA manager the next morning. In the meantime, I discover hairs in the sink (which I clean) and a bath mat sits on my bed as a small towel. The next morning, I'm looking to see THE person in charge when the employee on site tells me that he's the manager and that therefore the person the day before the reception was mistaken (when this person was training a new receptionist, so a priori employee of the hotel for a little while and who apparently does not know its "manager"). And since the service was NOT up to the task at ALL, I begin to list all these shortcomings when this "director" ORDERS ME to "look him in the eye when I speak to him". He says that the radiator does not make noise (it did not go up in the room), that I have to go down to the reception to report that the sink was poorly washed (!), that I have to go down to the reception to request a classic towel (!). So I should have gone down to the front desk three times to ask for proper service? I pay for a room in which the noise prevents sleep (not to mention the fact that the rooms are not at all soundproof and that in case of a noisy neighbor, it adds to the anger and it was my case), I have to ask that there are no hairs of the previous customer in my sink? Should I ask for a towel instead of a bath mat to wipe my face? Instead of telling me the order to look him in the eye while talking, he should have been confused into an APOLOGY because obviously, there are big problems in "his" hotel! No, a customer can't be calm considering such a lame service and such a contemptuous and haughty "manager". What an unworthy behavior of a hotel "manager." NEVER AGAIN do I set foot in this establishment OBVIOUSLY not up to the task, both from a hotel establishment and from a managerial point of view. I've told Campanile Customer Service.
