Hotel Du Jura

Was really bad, this zone is quite dangerous, always the people are seeing you, is quite weird. The stairs are terrible, small room, all the time very noisy... you really cannot sleep well. It was too bad.

The location of the hotel is good. It is near the metro station. The hotel is old and there weren't any lifts, thus we had to walk up six flights of steep stairs, and not just us, we had three big suitcases which was a whole exercise bringing them up and then down. The room was clean and pretty big, but the bathroom was pretty small. They change towels every day. Breakfast is basic but yummy. There are no air conditioners or fans and it was pretty hot, but we were lucky we were on the 6th floor and had two big windows. Staff is really nice and friendly.

10 minutes walk from Gare du Nord and 5 minutes from the metro station. Tucked away on a quiet street. Small place with clean rooms. No frills, just the very basics and an ensuite shower. The receptionist was really friendly and helpful. I arrived late in the evening, my first trip to paris. He still managed to get me to the effile tower in time to catch my pre booked cruise. Explained everything and marked the directions on a map. They also serve a complimentary basic breakfast. Just toast and coffee but then you can step out and grab whatever you need at a cafe on route to wherever you are going. I would give it a 3.5/5 for location, convenience and value for money. The drawback is that there is no elevator and the stairs are narrow. So good luck with hauling heavy bags upstairs. Its also a bit difficult to find if you have not googled the exact location before arrival.
