Mercure Paris Montmartre Sacre Coeur

This is a modern hotel, with a nice sized double room, clean and comfortable. It’s best attribute – if you get on the right side – is a good view of the Eiffel Tower. While near the iconic basilica and historic Montmartre, it is away from the historic center of the city. However, a metro stop is within walking distance connects easily with other lines. With the more contemporary feel, the hotel loses some Parisian charm. Also – there shampoo was not provided in the shower! However certainly a good hotel at a good price.

A disgrace! Real thieves, these chains! I am booking a night by phone at the beginning of June for the weekend of June 27 to 28, 2026. The receptionist asks me for the imprint of my credit card for the reservation. At no point do I receive information about an immediate payment and the impossibility of modifying or canceling my reservation afterward. On Tuesday, June 24, I contact the hotel because my wife is hospitalized, and I need to cancel the reservation. And then, I discover that the €300 has been debited and that the reservation is non-refundable! Shameful!!!!

We booked a room with an extra charge for a 9 AM arrival. We were abruptly awakened by drills in action in the establishment. After complaining at the front desk, the surprised staff told us they would inquire and move us if the problem persisted. From that moment on, no further updates, no apologies, no goodwill gesture, and no way to leave a review on the site provided. I find this attitude very borderline and unworthy of a 4-star hotel. I will sleep elsewhere from now on.
