this has become my favorite Paris hotel. Partly that’s location – I live in Marseille, so Gare de Lyon is my arrival station, and this hotel is two blocks away. But mainly it’s COMFORTABLE BEDS, for a side sleeper who almost never finds happiness in a hotel bed. Also: free coffee, self service beer and wine bar, small but nicely furnished lobby with good workspaces, café tables outside, and a Monoprix grocery store and good bakery half a block closer to the station. Not to mention that the prices are quite reasonable. Most rooms are nicely decorated, too.

I have very bad experience with Hotel Receptionist. This guy was insisting to pay city tax which was 5.50 euro by debit or credit card. I tried to pay through Google Wallet payment which was not successful. I waited three hours in lobby until one of my friend came and he paid 5.50 euro with his card for me. I requested the Receptionist to let me enter the room and i give you deposit 5.50 euto in cash but he was not listening me. Just saying that if i will do that, my boss will terminate my job. I have never seen such a non professional attitude from hotel sector.

I spent 3 nights at the Hotel Locomo and I am delighted with it. Ideally located, not even 5 minutes on foot from the Gare de Lyon and therefore the subways, close to Rue Crémieux, 15 min from the Jardin des Plantes, surrounded by bars, restaurants and even a Monoprix, it is a great hotel. I had a small room because I was a solo traveler. The room was certainly small but very well equipped, very clean and the decor was just great. My room faced the street and even though there are people there all the time, it remains relatively quiet. Plan on bringing your earplugs anyway if you are sensitive to noise like me. The welcome was perfect, the staff is very friendly and pleasant, just like the housekeeping staff and the breakfast staff. Note (since I was there during a heatwave): the AC, which you can manage yourself. From what I understood, though I didn't use it, there is also a workspace. For the first time alone in Paris, and even coming back late, I am very satisfied with my stay at this hotel. Thank you very much to the entire hotel staff. See you soon!
