Hotel Les Theatres

To explain it plainly: the stay there was a nightmare. I arrived on Sunday June 21st, right before the heatwave, and upon going up to the room, the Air Conditioning wasn't great, but it wasn't terrible. I simply thought that it was due to the room being closed, and the AC only just activated. Boy-oh-boy was I wrong. The morning after (Monday) - the AC didn't work at all. The little cool air (not cold) that I managed to get the night before was now just warm air. I went to reception, asked, and was told that it would be repaired. That didn't happen. Tuesday, same deal. Wednesday was no different. So on Thursday, I checked out. 2 days before my intended stay was up. After days of being patient, and not sleeping, I was refunded the two remaining nights and "a 20% return on the room costs". When I mentioned that I had been told by the night manager that I would be refunded, I was told "No. Because at the end of the day I had a shower, and a bed." A shower that took forever to react to any adjustment of temp, and a bed that I had not been able to sleep in due to the TERRIBLE temps, even hitting 46 degrees IN MY ROOM. I insisted that some kind of additional compensation was the least the hotel could do, and upon doing that, I was told I would get a call from the manager. I have yet to hear back, and it has been 72 hours. I believe that this is unacceptable, and as soon as I am able to, I will be publishing this review publicly as well. 4 stars? Where? Understanding, where? Basic humanity? Where? Not even a fan was offered. And guests continued to pour in with NO warning about the situation until it was too late. Terrible.

Hotel was really lovely. All the staff very friendly and helpful. We got an upgrade on our room. It was beautiful. Really comfy bed. Luxurious bed linen. Fab shower. Just a short stroll to Metro. Would definitely recommend this hotel x

Staff were friendly and helpful. The location was ideal as near the metro and plenty of places to eat and drink nearby. Hotel was clean and safe. Room was quite small but really needed something to separate the bathroom area from the bedroom. Breakfast was good value, Wi Fi fine and had 24 hour reception. Great base to visit Paris.
