My teenage daughter and I stayed here for four nights at the end of August 2026. I had originally thought we would stay in a different neighborhood, but I’m so glad we chose Hotel Mistral and stayed in Montparnasse instead. The hotel is an a quiet street right around the corner from multiple bus stops and within close walking distance of two different Metro lines. It was very easy to get there from the Gare de l’Est when we arrived in Paris, and the hôtel is especially convenient to the RER line that goes to CDG for our departure. We took buses whenever we went out sightseeing and always felt safe coming back to the hotel. All of the staff were friendly and helpful (and patient with my rusty French). The room itself was clean, well-appointed, and quiet; we had a room overlooking the outside breakfast garden area. The mini-fridge was good to have, and I appreciated having both a mini coffee machine and instant coffee for the mornings we didn’t get to breakfast. The breakfast was a standard French hotel breakfast with a nice selection of breads, croissants, yogurt, and meat/cheese. And considering it was included in our nightly rate, breakfast was a true bargain! I liked staying further away from very touristy areas. Hôtel Mistral is in a nice less-touristy neighborhood with lots of restaurants and shops around. Whenever we ate in nearby restaurants, we were usually the only tourists, and it was nice for my daughter to have a more local experience. I would definitely stay here again!

Great clean rooms. The breakfast was very good.

Great little hotel, near the metro station. Nice breakfast buffet. Room small but nice, newly renovated.
