Hotelstudios Phenicio

We stayed here for 2 nights so we could see the sights of Paris. As we were only sleeping in the hotel we only wanted cheap and cheerful and that is what we got. The rooms are basic but clean and the beds were really comfy. Staying here freed up funds for sight seeing as we only paid around £90 for 2 nights for 4 of us. Very handy for the metro and parking is free at the weekend so parked outside the room. Can't really complain about anything really.

firstly, the directions this hostel give are incorrect! so after a long hunt someone comes out of a run down building and asks if we are looking for just a bed! We walk into the reception where there are about 8 people, which is quite intimidating! the building is on the other side of the street and the guy takes us over, he leads us into a room of six when we paid for a double room private! so we tell him this and he rings reception and tells us we will have to just stay here for the night and see what they could do for us tomorrow, I was unhappy as we had paid around £7 more to be private and asked to be taken back to reception where we were frostily given a double room .. What we paid for! they obviously miraculously got that room! we open the door to a run down room with stains over the walls, the light didn't work, there was loose cables, garden furniture, the sheets were filthy and couldn't sleep a wink as I didn't want them anywhere near me! People moving about make this hostel so noisy! The wifi constantly switched off and didn't work for a period of time! The shared toilet was gross and overall just the worse place I have ever stayed and I would not wish this prison cell on my worst enemy! However, if your a tramp and don't care where you stay it has easy connections into Paris with the metro a short walk away! DONT DO IT!
