Suite Home Hotel

Myself and my partner have just come back from Paris (which is truly Amazing). We booked to go and see George Ezra at the Zenith stadium, so decided to stay within walking distance of the stadium. Also very close to Hoche metro, which takes you into the centre of Paris in about 40 mins. Canal Suites is very run down .... It needs an update desperately. Our room was spacious and had the added extra of a fridge, microwave etc ( which was a nice little touch), but as for the room itself, it smelled stale, eventhough the rooms are non smoking, someone had definitely been smoking in there previously. The carpets are very dirty, as you can see in 1 of my photos. The bed was a lovely size and pretty comfy, but very shabby. We found someone's sock under the bed, so the room had not been cleaned properly! If your missing a sock ... It's probably still under the bed in room 125!! I personally wouldn't stay at this particular hotel again, unless it has been newly redecorated from top to bottom. Very basic and very disappointed with the price we paid.

Having read some of the reviews here, I was hesitant to book. Now, having stayed here, I would book again and recommend. Husband and I stayed here 5 nights with our 8 month old daughter. We had minimal interaction with hotel staff, however the interactions we did have were pleasant and professional. A collapsible playpen/ crib was provided to us upon arrival. The room was large and reasonably clean, with housekeeping coming in daily, making beds and providing fresh towels. The small kitchenette served us well for cleaning, preparing and storing bottles. Location is good, close walk to metro which gets you to most of the popular attractions in 25 mins. Walking distance to La Villette park, which served us nicely for a lunch time picnic as well as an evening walk. Close to G20 supermarket, which has most things you could need as well as a few small bakeries which were great for breakfast. Most of the photos available online do not show the good size clothes and luggage storage across from the bathroom, this was invaluable space for us.
