I am sure there will be plenty of other options in Paris for you to stay. do not book here, it's ugly and dirty. the bed funnily enough was comfortable but the rest of the room was dirty and did not look a place where you would spend a night in. bathroom and shower looked filthy, there was also a hole in the wall. There was an electric radiator with stagnant water in that smell really bad every time I had to put it on in the morning. Reception was not straightforward in their answers. Their English was a bit unsure. Breakfast was basic and costed 10 euros a day. Croissants were good but that's about it

This was THE WORST ‘hotel’ I have ever stayed in, in my entire life, the minute we seen it we instantly regretted it and was too late, thankfully we were there for only one night. Looks so old and smells musty, the bedroom we stayed in was disgusting, dirty bed sheets and a stain on the duvet which looked like poo. Very small TV, a window in the bedroom which had no curtain or blind and a light shining through it all night!! The bathroom, the ceiling is peeling and crumbling, the shower is terrible and has no shower curtain so the floor ends up soaked. HUGE cobwebs covering each corner of the walls, Curtains sooo big you could use it as a rug whilst still hung up. Just overall disgusting and warn people to stay away from this hell hole, To make it worse, it felt like being in a horror film, waiting for someone to come and murder us!! Don’t even look twice at this place,

The Hotel Exelmans is on the western side of the Sixteenth Arrondissement not far from the Seine. As the third stop of our European vacation from 25-27 July, our family liked the area of apartments and small stores. We had reserved directly through the hotel website for a good rate. It is a long walk from the sights we went to see, so we took advantage of Uber rides. The hotel policy requires leaving the room key at the front desk when leaving the hotel. We stayed in a clean, comfortable room right over the entrance on the second floor with two rooms separated by a pocket door and a bathroom up a few steps. It is tricky bringing luggage up the windy staircase of this older style hotel. One queen bed and two single beds were nice for the four of us. There was a bold style of wallpaper around the room. A window in each room opened up to the neighborhood in the front and a courtyard in the back, allowing some refreshing breezes in this record setting hot weather. Though there was no air conditioning and just portable fans, we were fairly comfortable at night. A breakfast is available in the dining room for an extra fee, but we always got breakfast somewhere else. The Hotel Exelmans met our needs for affordable, no frills lodging for four while sightseeing some of the most popular Paris attractions. The hotel staff showed they actually care about guests when they asked me upon checkout “how was your stay?” That is rarely asked anymore. For budget travelers like us, we would recommend the Hotel Exelmans.
