Hotel Residence Anglet Biarritz - Parme

Shamefully slow service for just heating up fast food. They only served part of the order, and when we asked for the rest, they questioned whether we had paid for it. They finally brought it to us, but treated us practically like scammers. To top it off, they don't even provide a detailed receipt, just the total amount: pathetic customer service. I don't know if it had anything to do with us being Spanish...

Let's start with the positive, unfortunately little... During our five-night stay, we appreciated the kindness and availability of a woman at the front desk (arrived on August 5), for her responsiveness and her interaction, top-notch, thanks to her. And now, let's move on to the negative points (yes already, I said there was very little positive): - The air conditioning in the room was very dirty and we had to ask several times before it was cleaned, finally done, only on the second day. - Outside, the balcony had a lot of spider webs, especially on the ceiling, with no improvement despite our repeated requests. - Furthermore, there was no sponge, no dish soap, and no dish towel available, which is lacking for basic comfort. The dishes (plates, glasses, cutlery) had to be cleaned by us, because they were very, very dirty. - After two nights, we noticed that the double bed was actually made up of two single beds pushed together. A view advertised of the pool was completely true, but not everything had been said, with a nice view of an abandoned tennis court, which spoils this beautiful view of the outside. - Finally, we discovered late the existence of washing machines made available, information that was not communicated to us upon arrival (a shame for 5 nights). Overall, despite a humanly appreciable welcome, the problems with cleanliness, equipment, and the general condition of the establishment prevent us from recommending it in its current state to future travelers. The excuse of high season is not one; recruitment or good training should be planned for next season.

A regular customer for over 20 years, I am deeply disappointed by the evolution of this establishment since the change of management. During my reservation by phone, I was asked for a bank imprint as well as the CVV code of my card, which is a particularly concerning practice. Upon my arrival, after traveling 800 km, I was asked for an ID that I unfortunately did not have with me. The management then immediately canceled my reservation, without any consideration for my situation. I can understand that an establishment applies security rules, but the way this was handled is unacceptable, especially towards a loyal customer for so many years. This hotel has never been particularly known for its seriousness, but I thought there were still certain limits. Clearly, that is no longer the case. I do not recommend this establishment until its reception and customer management improve.
