The breakfast was rich and clearly the best part of the hotel. Otherwise, the building seems dated and overall poorly maintained. The newly renovated bathroom appears thrown together due to the inconsistent tile selection. The lobby is appealing and nicely designed; breakfast is in the lobby, which I did not like so much. There was also a lack of professionalism regarding cleanliness and service: At 2:00 PM, the room had not yet been cleaned. In addition, the price for two nights was initially communicated unclearly or incorrectly; instead of the stated €135, €290 was charged later, without prior notice of the higher price for the second night. Conclusion: Good breakfast, but disappointing overall. For the price, we would have expected more maintenance, cleanliness, and professional service.

We know Argelès-sur-Mer very well and have been coming here for several years. We have stayed in several hotels in France and this is the first time we have left a stay so disappointed. Upon our arrival, we noticed a serious cleanliness problem in the room: hair, dust, and fur present when we arrived. We deliberately did not make a remark immediately, because we did not want to be the "difficult" guests right from the start of the stay. Unfortunately, the problem continued all week. Don't bother putting out the sign to have the room cleaned, because it is done very late, not before 2 p.m. or 3 p.m. if you are located on the ground floor, which is already inconvenient when you are on vacation and want to be able to enjoy your room quietly in the afternoon. But above all, it is very poorly done. The bath mat in particular was removed and was never replaced; hair and sand were present every time. Regarding the parking, we had paid for an option to benefit from an underground space. However, we had to change spots practically every day: once because there were no more spots, another time because the space was no longer suitable, then we were moved elsewhere... In the end, we paid for a service that caused us more constraints than anything else. The general condition of the hotel is also very disappointing. We are perfectly aware that the hotel is not new, and that is absolutely not what we are criticizing it for. On the other hand, age does not justify the lack of upkeep and maintenance. In the room, a chair doesn't even stand properly. In the bathroom, we have water everywhere every time we shower: the bathroom is literally flooded with every use. Finally, and this is probably what disappointed us the most, it is the way our comments were taken into consideration. We did report our various problems to the front desk during our stay. The response was essentially to tell us to go see the manager. However, we are customers: when we report a problem concerning the establishment's services, we simply expect it to be taken care of, and not to have to chase after a manager to get a solution. As for the manager, we were particularly surprised by his attitude: no hello, no goodbye, not a look, not a smile. Under these conditions, it is quite difficult to understand why we should then hear that we "should have come to see him." Mr. Manager, when you choose to open an establishment that welcomes customers, the least you can do is set an example with politeness. We were not asking for a new or luxurious hotel. We were simply asking for a clean room, a properly maintained establishment, the services for which we paid, and, above all, a minimum of consideration when we report a problem. This is the first time, after several years of coming to Argelès-sur-Mer and several hotels tested, that we are leaving with such a feeling of disappointment. We paid for a service that we feel did not meet our expectations, and above all with the feeling that our comments were not really taken into account. An experience that we will unfortunately not repeat.

Nice and quiet little hotel, with a very good welcome. The staff is available, smiling, and really friendly. We had a double comfort room. A small downside: there is no clothes drying rack on the balconies, which would be very practical. I also agree with the other opinions regarding the bathroom, which is really very small. A small refrigerator in the room would also be appreciated, especially when it is very hot. The major strong point of this hotel is its location: the restaurants are only a 5-minute walk away and the beach is 2 minutes away. In June, it is quite easy to park in front of the hotel or in the nearby streets. However, during peak season, it must be much more complicated. The hotel has a parking lot, but the spaces are very narrow, so we did not dare to park our car there. The breakfast is good, varied, and complete. The pool is also pleasant, with sun loungers and umbrellas available. The only slightly disappointing point: the cleaning during the stay was quite irregular. Some days, the sand was well picked up, other days it was not. The insulation is not great either. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and recommend this hotel for its tranquility, location, and the kindness of the staff.
