In my opinion, this hotel does not deserve 4 stars. To start with, they ask you to pay 50% of the price without even having been able to visit the room, no kettle or mini fridge even though for much less, we have experienced much more, the long, narrow bathroom (despite the room upgrade) is a real death trap (unless you are a contortionist). On the other hand, nothing to complain about regarding the bedding, nor the front desk staff, who are very kind and helpful. We did not test the breakfast at over €20; on the Place des Terreaux not far away, a €7 option was much nicer! The location is ideally situated in the heart of Old Lyon and even if at €50 a night, I recommend the hotel parking (only a few spots). The St Jean district and the Saône quays nearby are super beautiful, to be visited without hesitation. In summary, we will return with pleasure, when the bathrooms have been redone and the room amenities reviewed. A 4-star hotel that forces you to beg at the reception for 1 kettle in the room does not deserve this reputation. I also recommend the Bistrot Bondy right next door. Not crowded and super good!

We were passing through Lyon and chose to stay here overnight. Great choice! Large, very quiet, and comfy room, though with a slightly odd shower arrangement. Lovely river views. Decent enough breakfast. Friendly attentive staff. Definitely not bargain basement pricing, but nevertheless, we're glad we stayed here. Recommended.

Great and bright reception area. Serviced staff. Room facing the river with great views. Very good bed. Perfectly located to experience Lyon. Walking distance to most. Jogging shoes are necessary. Otherwise there are buses and metro that are easy to find. Stayed there 3 nights.
