We spent a very nice week in a cottage of this establishment which is at the foot of the slopes. Our cottage (2 bedrooms each with its own bathroom) was spacious with a beautiful view of the valley and Lodji. Everything was very clean and well equipped. The staff at the front desk is very friendly. The spa (indoor pool, jacuzzi, 2 steam rooms, 2 saunas and a gym) is nice and the massages offered by Justine are very pleasant. The pastries (from the bakery "Alpine chalet") are very good. Ideal for a family ski holiday. We have been convinced by this establishment for several years. Small point for the coming years: the bedding to replace.

We stayed with our family in C2 (which can host 8 people). We had the most amazing stay, the views from the living area are simply stunning. C2 is just one floor from the ski lockers where we could ski in and out onto the slopes. Cathy at reception was extremely helpful. The spa and pool are amazing. Everything is just so luxurious!

We are frequent visitors to the Three Valleys in Winter, but this was our first one in summer, and we were totally delighted with Les Chalets du Gypse. All booking arrangements and admin prior to our arrival were done through vrbo, and were seamless and stress free. Clear instructions were given, and reception was still open as we arrived at 1900 from Geneva (note that in Summer, reception is not 24/7). We were warmly greeted, given what information we needed, and were pleased to find that bread and pastries could be ordered by 1800 the day prior, for collection from 0800. Reception had held the order open awaiting our arrival, which was very much appreciated. We were in apartment A03, a superb set-up with a fine balcony overlooking the village below us (as Les Gypse in somewhat elevated) and the mountains to the west (afternoon and evening sun). Directly in front, the Village piste, and in-between, a lovely steam whose babbling noise accompanied our stay. Everything about the apartment was perfect for us: nice bedroom with comfortable beds and lots of storage space; well-appointed kitchen; clean and spacious bathrooms. Wi-Fi struggled a little at times, and we never turned the TV on once! There were only the two of us, but this apartment would spaciously accommodate six. Reception opened out onto a large communal lounge if required, and we did use the internal swimming pool, quite large enough for decent exercise swimming rather than just splashing around. The gym looked good, though we didn't use it as we were exercising out in the mountains. In terms of location. the chalet quietly sits above St Martin with commanding views (so long as you don't have rooms facing into the mountain). However, the village is quite accessible via steps that descend from just in front down to the road alongside the market square. The excellent La Montagne restaurant, reviewed separately, is just a few minutes walk too. Note, these steps are quite steep, fine for us as we were on a running and hiking holiday, but maybe a challenge for others. Car parking is directly underneath, with a lift to access the chalet. Waste disposal and recycling is just in front of the chalet too. St Martin is a wonderful location for a summer holiday in the French Alps, and our experience staying in Les Chalets du Gypse was superb; we would very happily stay here again and strongly recommend it as a place to stay.
