Chateau De Pizay

The estate is very beautiful, the rooms are also very beautiful and well-equipped. We had a two-story room. The breakfast itself is complete, but the room where it is served is very cramped. Unfortunately, the service was not up to par. We spent a good part of the weekend at the pool, where you can neither buy drinks nor food. The only way to get a bottle of water is to cross the hotel and the (gourmet) restaurant in a swimsuit, for a 0.75 bottle for 7 euros. In the evening, we decided to go have a drink before heading to the restaurant outside the castle. We waited more than 40 minutes before being served. For a castle of such standing, the service really must be improved.

Living not far from the castle, we came to enjoy the SPA (2 aquasens), not all the jets work, the plastic heads come off, my towel, rolled up on the lounge chair, is worn out and has a hole! And upon our departure, the hustle and bustle in the locker rooms is very complicated (2 cabins for 8 people at the same time!) But the most surprising thing remains the price of a coffee on the restaurant terrace... 5 euros!

Located in the middle of the castle's vineyards, a large shaded parking lot, well-maintained paths and gardens, and a terrace with huge umbrellas set the tone! The imposing building stands in the middle of the courtyard. The welcome is warm, the explanations precise. The room is simply decorated but without a false note and has all the amenities of a 4-star hotel. This establishment offers a multitude of activities... tennis, swimming pool, spa, sauna, massages... The breakfast buffet is varied with fresh products. The ideal place for a romantic getaway!!
