Basic room with cooking facilities and bathroom. Very clean, exceptionally helpful and friendly receptionist. Close to city centre and restaurants, though in a quiet side street. Under cover parking available for a small extra charge (this needs to be booked in advance) Very good value

Stayed overnight on 17.8.13. en route from Royan back to Calais. The photographs are deceptive and this is not a hotel. The building is shabby, there is no reception - we had to go into what appeared to be a storeroom to pay and it seemed the landlord was not on site as we had to text him with our arrival time and drop the keys off in a box on leaving. Almost all the apartments are privately rented and it felt more like a hostel than a hotel. Our room was on the fifth floor and with no air conditioning and minimal ventilation - a tiny window in the eaves -was unbearably hot. The rooms were very cheaply furnished and the tiles in the shower were badly cracked. Although teabags and coffee were provided there were no cups or a kettle. Worryingly, I could see no information about fire escapes or emergency evacuation. the building was noisy with people coming in and out of the apartments late into the night. It did not feel safe and was a very unpleasant and relatively expensive experience at 90 euros for my husband and I and our seven year old grandson.

This apartment was clean and functional and fine for our one night stop off en route to The Vendee. Reasonably priced too and a short walk into the town centre of Alencon which is a very pleasant place.
