Kyriad La Ferte-bernard

Always an excellent welcome at the Brit Hotel LFB, and the dining is very good for a quite reasonable price. Being more accustomed to double beds, I was slightly disappointed by the Twin room, in the attic, especially the bathroom with the shower curtain in the chipped bathtub. However, the quality of the bedding and the quietness remain significant assets. A sure value.

The hotel is pleasant enough for a budget hotel and is in a great location, right next to local amenities (Lidl, boulangeries, bars, lake and park) and a short walk from a lovely, small picturesque town. However, the lady working nights and early mornings (who I believe to be the proprietor) is an awful piece of work. Rude, unfriendly, unhelpful and clearly not a fan of Brits (ironically the given the name of the hotel), which was apparent from check-in…not pleasant at all. The reception staff in the afternoon were lovely. I would not return on the basis that I wouldn’t want to give this lady any more business. If it wasn’t for her, I’d return to an otherwise pleasant enough hotel.

Had a great stay , other than the children causing havoc in the hallways but kids will be kids , the room was clean , very good for the price , the staff were respectful and friendly , location perfect for a 10 min walk into the lovely town of Ferte le Bernard , with nice restaurants and bars . Was busy due to a football tournament but coaches and children were very friendly to talk , which helped make the stay more enjoyable , many thanks to I think bob , John and Nicholas , hope you did well in your tournament All in all highly recommend this hotel
