Le Grand Balcon

we went skiing with three kids under 7 and although the accomodation was not luxury we would expect it for the price it was very good. great views from the apartments, supermarket nearby and great ski school for first timers. definately

I have been in Residence Le Grand Balcon twice- both trip was in July. The only thing I can say is that I had a wonderful holiday! This is one bedroom apartment situated on a 6th floor for sleep up to 4 people with kitchenette and bathroom. I find there everything I needed. The view from the balcony is absolutely awesome! Mont Blanc is whole for you! Great location- walking distance for cable cars, bus stop just outside the building, 15 min away from Chamomix Mont Blanc. If you like the mountains you will love this place! My boyfriend and I am very happy to choose Le Grand Balcon. The price is very reasonable, great contact with a landlord and his representative in Les Houches. I can't wait to go there again!

Hi We stayed across the road at Grand Balcon apt's this year & overall especially for half terms it was really good value for money. Our kids are 7 & 9 so the steep stairs weren't a problem, the view out the lounge of the Chamonix valley was amazing. I big tip for anyone to make this work, pay 35EUR for a ski locker at the lifts, perfect no carrying skis in my case all of them! 5 minute walk, ski's on & up the lift. In Jan you can book for £300 for the apt, so really good, wouldn't go at half term again as it was to busy & ski school classes had 15 in but they still did a great job & were very friendly. Please take note of the ski lockers!! you can book them at the lift pass counter,
