Pierre & Vacances Residence les Nereides

Very basic Accomodation. Been coming here for years. Prices have gone up be the place need as serious makeover. Do not buy the WiFi. It’s complete rubbish and drops packets so severely, it is unusable. You will be throwing your money in the bin paying for it. No way to complain about it or get you money back. A bit like. A scam.

This is a very well located building, the highest in the village. You can ski straight back to the door as well as ski out. The apartments are good enough for a family of four. They also have beds in the living room but I think anything more than 4 people would be a huge stretch. There is enough water pressure and hot water, so no complaints in that department, but please bear in mind they don't offer any soap or loo roll, so you need to buy your own. Everything in the village shuts at 7pm, so you will go hungry if you arrive after that. We had a little incident in which we forgot our keys in the ski locker. Somehow reception said only the ski locker keys were returned (not the apartment keys, that were always together in the same key ring), which we find it very hard to believe. If that was indeed the case, then there was no worry from the staff that someone could get into our apartment and steal our things, they couldn't care less. They said someone left the keys, but surely they would have asked that person given there was a key missing? The very strong impression we got was that reception removed the key on purpose so that they could charge us for it. They said the charge was 150EUR but we read in the T&C's that the charge was actually 125 EUR. It is quite clear it is some sort of scam going on for people that drop their keys. Fair enough, the keys are our responsibility, but it would be nice if they were actually honest about it. This left a very sour taste and we would not return.

It was the second year in a row in this residence. Beautiful location and great view from the balcony. Hiking at the foot of the residence, shops easily accessible. The highlight is the pedestrian station and free covered parking. REALLY TOP 👍
