Residence Pierre & Vacances Chalet des Arolles

Very welcome at reception, apartment n° 35 very clean and well equipped. Very comfortable. The towels are incredibly soft and fluffy. Easy access, covered and heated garage under the building. To be redone, I choose this apartment. Hello, everybody.

We stayed a week skiing at the chalets des Arolles with Maeva, from 12 to 19 April, and unfortunately our experience was very disappointing. First of all, our apartment was located right in front of a very noisy bowling alley. Every night, until 3am, groups of people shouted, making it almost impossible to sleep. This point was not specified when booking. The children were very tired in the early morning at the time of ski lessons. Then we booked our ski passes directly via Maeva, but due to heavy snowfall, the resort was closed for a whole day. No compensation was offered to us, despite our request, although our friends were able to benefit from a large discount via the resort. We therefore lose all the benefit of having chosen to buy our tickets by Maeva. Another misleading point: the ad indicated a place located 10 meters from the slopes. In fact, this was not the case, and we had no information on the exact location before our arrival, which is very disappointing for an organization that is supposed to facilitate the holiday. The towel dryer out of order, when it is an essential point for a ski holiday to dry things after the day (and even more in a small studio. We contacted Maeva by e-mail upon our return, but they refused any commercial gesture or compensation. We leave very disappointed by this experience and customer service.

Belle Plagne is a fabulous area for skiing. Just wish we had been there many years ago when we were young enough to benefit fully. We would highly recommend it for all levels of skiing including young children. The nursery slopes looked wonderful. The reception staff were all very friendly and helpful, especially Nuno who sorted out our parking problem. We would highly recommend this accommodation and are already planning to return next winter with larger family including Grandchildren.
