Hotel La Residence Manoir de La Salamandre

The worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. It smells absolutely terrible.

Between the problem during the reservation, the staff unavailable upon our arrival and who are far from being the most pleasant, a hotel that cruelly lacks cleanliness, the humidity in the room, and the whirlpool bathtub unusable because we had no hot water in the room... our review can only be negative!

Never go to this restaurant! It is one of the worst I have ever had the misfortune of visiting. The food is appalling, the service catastrophic, and the prices completely staggering for the quality of what is served. Everyone lets themselves be caught by the charm of the building, but that is really all! They try to attract customers by posting signs for "plate of Norman cheeses" or cod fillet "à la dieppoise"... you are seated at a barely cleaned wooden table and served by waitresses who obviously do not care at all about the customers! They barely listen to what you ask for and bring you an incomplete order... Let's get to the "dishes"... if you can call them dishes. They throw them at you like slop to animals... (and even then I take much more care with my dogs...) there were 3 of us and we had ordered a Caesar salad, a fish and chips, and a salmon fillet... all dishes between 22 and 25 euros. Nothing was edible! The Caesar salad: small bits of tired lettuce that gave the impression of having been on several plates before, topped with a chicken nugget cut into pieces with a pathetic sauce on the side... The fish and chips: a very small piece of breaded fish with a micro portion of cold, soggy fries that had undoubtedly been overcooked for a long time, a micro cube of "tartar" sauce on the side... As for the salmon: a very small piece, barely cooked and barely thawed with three pieces of carrots and bland rice... I asked to speak to the manager and was told, coincidentally, that he was not there. I asked what time he would be there... I was told that they had no idea since they hadn't seen him the day before... in the middle of July, when you are a boss you have to be pretty bold to leave your establishment in the hands of this incapable staff, entrusting them to serve inedible food. It's a disgrace! It is purely unacceptable. It's robbery. Avoid at all costs!!!
